A foreign politically exposed party includes any natural person which is entrusted or was entrusted with significant public function in the previous year, including closest family members and close associates.
A natural person having or which had entrusted significant public function is:
- Head of the State, Prime Minister, Ministers and their Deputies or Assistants;
- Selected representatives in legislation bodies;
- The judges of the Supreme or Constitutional Court and other high judicial institutions;
- Members of Audit and Governing Board of the Central Bank;
- Ambassadors and high ranking military officers;
- Members of the Management or Supervisory Boards of companies which are in the majority ownership of the state.
Closest family members of politically exposed parties are: spouses, parents, siblings, children and their spouses.
Close associates of politically exposed parties are all natural persons participating in profit from the property or are in business relationship or connected to business otherwise.
